The Viper 5 9x18 is a unique weapon featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Description
This unique Viper 5 was modified to shoot the 9x18mm caliber, as well as gaining very high reliability, akin to the Storming Obokan, the Akm 74/2U Special and the Noiseless Viper.
Acquisition
An image from where the corpse of the loner is found, expressing the large number of anomalies in the tunnel.
The weapon can be found in the corpse of a Loner stalker in the Garbage. Look beyond the trains in the tunnel with filled with anomalies near the entrance to the Agroprom Research Institute. It's at the far end of the tunnel on the left. There is a large number of Vortex anomalies in the tunnel, so getting to the weapon and getting out again is quite an achievement. A player may wish to bring either a high-tier suit or many, many medkits and bandages to survive.
Notes
- The inventory icon shows a HK53, which is a compact assault rifle chambered for 5.56x45mm ammunition. A number of Builds use this icon to represent the Viper 5.
