Vodka weights 0.3kg (0.6kg in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat) a bottle and is used to get drunk and to cure radiation poisoning, to those new to festive drinks and STALKER, Vodka is liquor and one will get drunk from drinking it. It clears ~25-30% radiation of your body (50% in Call of Pripyat). Drinking vodka has the disadvantage of getting drunk, which means your view will move in circles and vision will be slightly degraded from flashing colors and movement of the player's vision, this is quite a problem if shooting at long ranges (the more vodka, the faster the movement). Vodka should be used only in cases when there isn't a soldier behind the corner and the accumulated radiation is small. If you, however, aim for collecting items and selling them. Vodka as much as possible should be drunk when not in a firefight and has little radiation accumulated as [[Anti-rad]] is more expensive compared to it, though Vodka weighs significantly heavier, players choice in trading price for weight and vice versa. |

*During the Chernobyl incident: It was widely believed by the plant workers and clean-up crew that alcoholic drinks, mainly vodka and red wine, can cure radiation poisoning from the body. However, this belief is actually false as radiation tends to be infused inside bones and other bodily organs that are not part or reachable by the human digestive system and the fact that vodka cannot neutralize radiation in any way either. In the event you should be exposed to radioactive substances in real life: seek professional medical help immediately and do not think you can be cured by binge drinking. |

Vodka is a consumable item featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Background
Distilled by the GSC company, the vodka is a clear distilled liquor composed of water and ethyl alcohol. Vodka is made from a fermented substance of either grain, rye, wheat, potatoes, or sugar beet molasses. Vodka’s alcoholic content usually ranges between 35 to 50 per cent by volume.
It is an extremely popular drink in the Zone, as it removes irradiation and smooths the rough edges of a stalker's life.
