The Walker P9m is a 9x19mm pistol appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Appearances[]
Shadow of Chernobyl[]
An excellent pistol. Highly reliable with a high capacity magazine and a good fire accuracy, especially in the case of the model designed for the 9 mm FMJ round.
― Shadow of Chernobyl in-game description
It uses 9x19 rounds which are quite easy to obtain nearly anywhere, however it doesn't have much firepower and is advised only to be used as a sidearm, not a primary weapon. The gun and its ammo are very lightweight, making it a preferable handgun for one who doesn't use a handgun frequently. It cannot be fitted with a silencer, rendering stealth impossible with this weapon.
Acquisition[]
The Walker P9m is a very widespread pistol as almost every faction has members that use it as their sidearm. It is sold by Barkeep, Sakharov and Skinflint.
Max gives this weapon as a reward for completing his mission Get a flash drive from the crazy sniper. In the console release of the game, the quest reward has been changed to a Black Kite as to match in-game dialogue.
Notable characters that use the weapon as their sidearm: Ara, Borov, Chef, Kitsenko, Kruglov, Master, Max, Oleg "Fiend" Gusarov, Pavlik, Plichko, Scarecrow, Semenov, Wolfhound.
The weapon can be found in the following stashes:
- Grizzly's things x1 (loaded with 9x19mm FMJ x16)
- Secret stash in the car x1 (loaded with 9x19mm FMJ x16)
- The left-behind backpack
- By the three cisterns
Unique variants[]
Clear Sky[]
An excellent German-made pistol with high reliability, good accuracy and a large magazine - especially in this model, which uses the 9-mm Parabellum round. Uses 9x19 mm ammo.
― In-game description
In Clear Sky it is less available. It can be upgraded by almost every technician, it's cheap to upgrade and easy to maintain however albeit susceptible to damage when being fired at a rapid rate but has less chances of the weapon jamming. This is also the only 9x19mm caliber pistol that can be mounted with a silencer.
Acquisition[]
The Walker P9m is the standard sidearm of lower ranking members of the Monolith faction, it is commonly found in Limansk and in the Limansk Hospital. Some veteran Freedom snipers using SVUmk-2s also use this weapon as a sidearm. It can only be bought from Mitay after joining the Duty faction, and it can also be obtained for free by joining Freedom and wiping out the Duty base.
One can be found in the rear of a truck next to a body and an RGD-5 grenade, as well as a First-aid kit in a metal case, on the road in the middle of Agroprom on the left fork leading to the Duty base. This is not as easily obtained as it seems, however, as there is no crate from which to mount and then enter the rear of said truck, requiring a different plan of action to be taken. But if the player has not destroyed the boxes at the fork in the road, there is a stack of two boxes near a stack of tires and a bus that can be pushed over to the truck to mount.
Cheersov, near the hole that leads into the Agroprom Underground, can sell the coordinates of a stash containing the pistol and 1 box of 9x19mm FMJ rounds in for 900 RU; the stash is located in the final spiral staircase at the bottom inside a toolbox-like object.
