The Wrenched is an artifact featured in all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Shadow of Chernobyl
Description
Located in the anomaly called "Vortex". When it touches the body it disseminates the directed of the radiation, protecting from scratches or wounds made by weapons. This artifact isn't hard to find, that's why they don't pay much for it.

The Wrenched increases rupture protection by 2%, but increases radiation by 5%. The bonus granted by the Wrenched is insignificant and it should be sold rather than used.
Locations
The Wrenched is a common artifact that may be found in gravitational anomaly clusters.
One is given as a reward for the optional mission Kill the "sales representative" provided by Sidorovich. Another one is given by Wolf upon completion of his optional mission, Destroy the boar lair.
Clear Sky
Description
This bizarrely-shaped artifact appears in places with increased gravitational activity. Acts as a kind of sponge that absorbs radioactive elements. In so doing, the artifact provides protection from outside radiation as well as from radioactive particles that have already made their way into the body.

The Wrenched returns as an uncommon artifact in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. It provides now a -4 in radiation, making it very useful to use with other artifacts or to use instead of anti-rads.
Call of Pripyat
Description
This bizarrely-shaped artifact appears in places with increased gravitational activity. Acting as a kind of sponge that absorbs radioactive elements, this artifact provides protection from outside radiation as well as from radioactive particles that have already made their way into the body.

The Wrenched returns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, again as an uncommon artifact. Its effect was reduced to -3, making it less useful although a single Wrenched will suffice to counter the radiation of rare artifacts (usually +3), bar the unique Compass and the Heart of the Oasis (+4).
Locations
The Wrenched may be found in gravitational anomaly fields; the tunnels beneath the Burnt Farmstead in Zaton spawns one by default.
The Wrenched is also sold by Beard once the player has completed the Compass mission.
