The Yubileiny Service Center is a former services center in Pripyat, located at Lenin's Prospekt 13. It is featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background[]

A service center before the 1986 catastrophe, the Yubileiny center was adopted by The Group and used as cover for the central Lab X-8. After the catastrophe in 2006, it was abandoned, but soon found new owners, as the Monolith used it as a stronghold.

Despite the fact that Pripyat is being very accurately and realistically recreated in-game, in real-life, the Yubileniy is actually located to the north-west of the city center (main/Lenin square), being a part of Microdistrict 3 and not south-east of it, like in-game, where it is a part of Microdistrict 1, which represents the Pripyat level in-game. In real life, another Kindergarten stands where it would be.

Call of Pripyat[]

The Yubileiny Service Center appears as a location for a central quest, which requires the player to recover documentation from Lab X-8 to determine if the Gauss rifle used by Monolithians is somehow connected to the failure of Operation Fairway. Initially, the elevator that leads to Lab X-8 does not have power, forcing the player to make their way to the top (fifth) floor to turn on the generator. There are five floors with a staircase at each corner, although some sections are collapsed and certain hallways are blocked off by grates, making navigating through the building a little tricky.

On the player's first visit, they will find that the building is home to numerous enemies, mostly Zombified Stalkers and Monolith fighters. There are 14 zombies in total, 8 on the first floor, 5 on the second, and one on the third. They are accompanied by 12 Monolithians, 4 on the second floor, 4 on the third and 4 on the fourth. Zombies will typically leave their assigned floor to attack the player once spotted (save for the one on the third floor, who is hidden in a restroom), while Monolithians will wait in ambush positions at their designated floors. After the generator has been turned on, the doors will open at each floor, allowing the player to use the elevator shaft to navigate easily between the different floors.

Afterwards, randomly-spawned Zombified Stalkers, Loners, and Mercenaries will populate the building. Mutants such as Rodents, Pseudodogs, and Bloodsuckers often spawn around the building. The body of Barchuk, carrying his PDA, is found at the fourth floor, near the elevator.

The rooftop is a non-radioactive anomaly filled with Electro anomalies. Artifacts such as a Snowflake are likely to spawn there.
